School’s been in session for just over three weeks. Wow, where does the time go. I’d like to have started this class already, but haven’t. My goal is to start before Christmas break. It would be nice to read over break.
In the beginning…

Wow, another year is looming ahead, and I can’t wait to jump in! This blog will hopefully be used to support a great FLT that I have in mind for our building. So many times, we just read the same stuff over and over and we don’t get exposed to new books or even old books.
A few years ago, I participated in a Middle School Literature FLT. We chose, read and commented on at least 5 middle school level titles each. We participated in face to face meetings, e-mail posts and chat rooms throughout the summer to meet the contact time requirements. When we were done, I thought to myself, what a great way to read new books, spend time with our peers and learn new skills.
Interested? Me too! Let’s read and explore new worlds together! I’ll be discussing this at our first inbuilding inservice and we’ll take it from there.
